Today starts a new day and new commitment to excellence in my life. I have taken a leap of faith and have given up my position as a principal for a charter school that I am the founding principal of. I have been leading that school for the past 5 years and felt that I have taken it as far as I could at this point. I have been blessed to be able to turn it over to my wife to lead as I pursue ministry at a more deeper level by working par time and spending the other part of my time focused on growing the church and multiplying leadership.
I comes with many challenges. The main challenge for me is being disciplined enough to set a schedule and stick to it and do those activities and things that would yield much fruit in my life. Yesterday, I began that journey first by allowing a member at the church to hold me accountable for my health. I have committed to working out and eating better (I didn't say right) consistently. I want to get down 160 pounds and 32 inch waist. I am currently 180 and 38 inch waist.
I also want to commit to having a regular study time for personal spiritual development and development of my weekly messages and lessons. I will keep you up to date on the things that God is doing in my life as the days go on and will document the people I meet and the lives that God will impact along the way.
